I can relate to that but in two different ways.
Firstly, when I'm either little me or 'her' because I do feel like they're different people. That can be quite difficult to explain to people.
Also, I often wear a mask and feel like the person I portray isn't actually me.

yes! my past i feel is different person someone else which i dont even have many of the memories i cant connect or feel or remember the feelings.
i dont feel anyone knows the "real me" noone knows "everything" i do feel i have alot of masks i was missionary kid

Masks can be very very good protections at the time.
