Welcome to Our Writes! Please read through our guidelines. I hope you enjoy your time here.
* We ask that new members write a brief introduction to explain their reason for joining Our Writes. This is due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter of our forum, and to protect the safety and security of our members.
- When new members have reached the required number of posts and shown their intentions in being here to be sincere, they will have full member access to the forums by admin.
- Well known and longtime members will be given access to further forums - this is at the discretion of staff.
New members who've yet to post and don't do so within their first week of joining, or who don't activate their account within a reasonable time period will have their membership deleted at the discretion of staff. Again, this is to preserve the safety and security of our members.
Any questions or problems, pm me or email me at our.writes@hush.com
* Please post your own work. If quoting from another source, please reference accordingly. [Stating book and author and publication date, or URL of website as appropriate.]
* While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, personal attacks or disrespect.
* We do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature. Talking about your abuse experience in your writing is fine, but please use your discretion, and if in doubt, contact the admin or a moderator.
* Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Members with dissociative difficulties are asked to keep their work within one account. If your work is by an alter/self/part who is not the host, have them sign the piece.
* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
* Members who violate the forum rules wilfully will be banned after reasonable warning- if there is no change after due warning, a ban will be put in place.
* Please keep your signature small - no more than 3 lines of text, or 300 long x100 pixels wide image. This is to help those with slower internet connections, as well as to not detract from post content.
* Keep your responses supportive - challenging and encouraging the writer or artist to move forward is fine, but must be done with respect and non-judgement.

An attitude of respect and validation is encouraged here. It's important that you recognise that others feelings and perspectives are just as valid as your own. Your own feelings and perspective is valid and heard. Noone can take that away from you. We each have our own reasons for why we feel the way we feel, rooted in our backgrounds and life experiences. Use discussions here to help you grow in understanding of others and why they feel the way they feel.
You won't be judged here, nor your feelings minimised. We ask that you do not judge or minimise the feelings of others.
Please know that you can ALWAYS contact me by sending me a personal message with any questions or concerns. You will be heard and we can work things through together.
